To Be Christlike

Christlike – To Be Or Not To Be

Like many of my writings, I asked the Holy Spirit for a title with this article. That is so important. I also do this when writing spiritual poems. The title can make all the difference and this one bears the Heart of God – what concerns Him the most. “Father, I pray that they would love one-another as we love one-another and that they would be one even as we are one”.

Jesus wants us to “love the Lord our God with all our heart and all our mind and all our strength and treat each-other as we like to be treated”. Yes!

If we want to be His and live for Him, there’s no way around that.

There really is’nt. So many things our conversations and sermons we hear major on while those things that were more important to Jesus are treated with less importance and sometimes are missing – I mean completely left out and we consider ourselves to be spiritual.

Sharing About Jesus

When Sharing the Good News of Jesus

Many people have commented through the years about the Natural way I share Jesus and that they find my company “pleasant”.

It is important to realize the Expression of Jesus has been hindered in the lives of many Christians because the modern day way of getting together has altered drastically when Constantine changed things in 330AD after Christ came. I want to tell you something, and it’s this_ JESUS did not want things that way much less commission it.

Constantine was self-commissioned and much of the LIFE in Christianity went out of it…..so we have what we face Today: uninviting to people and to Christians often – they feel stifled by this, unable to breathe, so to speak.

I will share with you a Refreshing View. Come with me.

I like to inspire Christians to share about Jesus in a natural way.

The Heavenly Giver

Why do Miracles happen for some? Why do some of us have more Answered Prayers than others?

I have one key phrase for that: It is desire that leads to miracles and what you do with that desire.

The same with Answered Prayers!

Desire is not a passive word – many of us want something from God, even desperately sometimes but are complacent about it. Often, He is waiting for us to search Him out in a situation – seeking is not passive or half -hearted either, it has to do with seeking Him with all our heart and strength, like Jesus words “to love Him with all our heart and mind and strength”……..there are so many distractions that fill our day and evening, so many things that capture our attention……quite willingly……things we like a lot often.

We should ask ourselves, are we as willing to seek after Him?…

Mind and Emotions Effect on Health

It has now been discovered that the way we think and feel much of the time,

can and does impact our health for good and not so good. So in the interest

of better health and happy dispositions, I am writing these things,

so you can be aware of them.

Fear, conflict and un-forgiveness show up in cancer. Bitterness and anger show up in the liver or gallbladder. Worry and anxiety show up in allergies, digestive and gut disorders. Hate and resentment show up in arthritis and inflammation. Negativity shows up in poor quality health. Each one of these can lead to a host of different maladies and mental disorders – yes, they create chemical imbalances along with a poor diet. Stress, allowed to go by unmanaged is the biggest, most common threat to most people’s health.

So we need to work with our attitudes, quality of our thoughts……….managing…

Good Things – Philippians 4

Think about the Good Things

Good desires in our hearts

Our mouths shall enjoy Good fruits

Philippians 4

Allow me to share these thoughts with you!

English Standard Version
8 Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be obvious to everyone. The Lord is near.

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In Philippians 4:6-8 Paul gives us a few instructions for a Victorious Life and Overcoming in Daily Life.

Lets be Overcomers – Prayer Guidelines

This Post is based on Jesus’ guidelines to prayer, known as

The Lord’s Prayer.

For many years I almost dismissed it as religious. Something you do if you’re Catholic  maybe – but these words are actually quite powerful.

Everyone has a weakness of some kind. Even the patriots we acclaim like David and Abraham did things that were astonishing. David was “a man after God’s heart” and Abraham was “the friend of God” but they were still tempted and they displeased God on a few occasions.

The apostles Peter and John displeased The Lord also on occasions

mentioned in scripture. So the disciples did the smart thing and

asked JESUS how to pray!

That’s why John later wrote “he who says he does not sin is a liar and the truth is not in him”. Jesus said in defence of a woman “let him who is without sin cast the first stone” and they all went away.…

Healthy Churches and House Churches

This is a busy Day and Age we are living in with many distractions from
day to day. Many of us fail to function our best as a family……. and when it comes to functioning as The Lord’s family – be it a church or house church, pressures abound in this stressful time, and it takes a lot of time keeping up with family and commitments. Scripture says, that’s when we need to “fellowship all the more as the Day of The Lord draws near”.

Church should not be something that makes you dry
it should impart life and inspire.
Also, it should be a place of participation where
everyone is involved in some way
we are not subordinate or stifled
we are not spectators or entertained.

Scripture says that Apostles and Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists and Teachers
are of His making, not man’s (selected in Bible Colleges).

Christian Life – What it Is and Is Not

Life with Jesus is not always the rosy life we are sometimes told about when we find Him. Most churches present what I call a Santa Christ ie Come to Jesus and your life will be great OR wonderful……and a few months into the Christian life – after the Love, Joy and Peace you experience when you first know Him – you do not find what they told you to expect is so.
That is because they failed to be true to Jesus’ Words. He does “call us out
of darkness (this world) into His Light”……….”we are new creations (in Him through new birth) old things are passed away, all things have become new”
(spiritually).
Then for most of us, there are circumstances to work out, like when
newly weds go into a house after the honeymoon: a garden needs renovating, the rooms need new furniture and furnishings (this is your life and surroundings you have invited Jesus into) He wants to do this work with you, to make your life more comfortable than it was before you found Him (often).

Our Health: Spiritual and Natural

This post is important for all of us to read because most of us
have some area of health to address and so many are seeking for
healing. Some Christians need healing for the same thing again
months later and there are reasons for that.
In the last 2 years, The Lord spoke to me concerning a family member
who really trusts Him with everything she does. She was lifting heavy things
often when working in the garden, cheating on meals and sleep and responding to comments with replies like “The Lord is Good” much as to say “I’m alright, He over-rides all that”. Three times, He distinctly showed me something (months apart) that she was actually abusing Natural Laws He has made with Spiritual Laws. Both should be respected.
He was our Creator before He was our Savior. If you need healing, you may need
to consider these things carefully.

Blessings of Laughter

Taken from a Special  Feature  Page  on my natural health website concerning ALL  the  Benefits  of  Laughter  –

I  call this phenomena revealed by Heart Specialists, Neuroscientists, Psychologists and Various Physicians (collectively) the CHEMISTRY OF LAUGHTER. I’ve gleaned the following Information from various sources of research.

LAUGHTER IS GOOD for your MORALE and also your IMMUNE SYSTEM………It Releases Endorphins in your body that are “Feel Good Chemicals”  It can be a sure weapon against stress and if practiced regularly – as part of your Lifestyle – it can help to prevent and sometimes relieve Stress Related Illnesses.

Laughter Clears your Emotions and helps to Sharpen your Mental Faculties. Laughter is fun and it’s good for you. It makes others feel good. It provides physical, emotional, and psychological benefits.

Scientific Research reveals that LAUGHTER strengthens our cardiovascular functions; reduces stress hormones; improves circulation_ benefiting those with high blood pressure; has a boosting effect on the function of immune cells; releases endorphins_ a feel good chemical that sometimes helps to lower pain levels; it oxygenates our body via the respiratory system_ this is very good for us; it also enhances our bio-chemistry!…

Believers in a Stressful Age

This post was partly inspired by an article I read today

PEACE IN THE MIDST OF STRESS

It was only a short article but inspired me immensely.

Then I took a different direction that compliments.

Please take time to read this.

Stress is prevalent in our world today, but there is a way to handle stress without turning to addictions and other things. Internal peace can be found through Jesus even in the midst of stressful circumstances. (1)

In this world, common ways to cope with stress in recent year have been through addictions such as over-drinking, over-partying, over-eating, over-shopping, over-spending, over-accumulating, over-working, etc. ever on the increase, effecting many hearts and lives. (2)

I feel such compassion for children in families who are caught up in these kinds of environments because in one way or another, they are affected. I feel for elderly people too, because they see such a different world and the situations many of their families are in that are radically different to the stress they are familiar with.

Should Christians really be Tithing?

Most Christians want to please The Lord and many of us have a heart for giving. It is also true that preachers often cause distress in the heart and mind of well meaning Christians, asking more and more….demanding to pay ‘the tithe’ and televangelists top this up with bribes for offerings, saying The Lord will give you this if you give Him that?

Does God tell us to pay for our blessings? Is He reintroducing His laws

with Israel? In what way should we be generous with our giving?

Certainly not to break our pockets and experience so much stress.

The New Testament no-where commands, or even recommends, that Christians submit to a legalistic tithe system. The New Testament nowhere designates a percentage of income a person should set aside,

but only says gifts should be “in keeping with income” (what you can afford).

Televangelists Causing Confusion

Some Preachers on Christian TV are causing confusion

in the hearts and minds of God’s children and they also bring

the Gospel into disrepute to those in the world. Especially when

it comes to money – they air their shame for all to see.

Friends, some preachers are unrepentant sinners, Jesus spoke of

before they ever preached a word and you need to be aware of these

things. Because they preach over a platform does not mean God

commissioned them. Please find out the difference.

Yes they unsettle the minds of many well meaning believers who watch them

in innocence and think “that must be right because they’re preachers of the Gospel”

so to speak. What gospel? It is written that “God hates mixture”…..and…..”He is not

a God of confusion”. My brother and sister in Christ, if their words are causing

confusion in your heart and unsettling your mind:

GOD DID NOT AUTHOR IT.

What are You Saying?

I have to share this with you. It’s pretty good! The Lord has brought up prophetically with me several times through the years, the importance of Meditating on His Word AND what I Confess with my Mouth………
3 times for each through different servants of God……so I take this to mean that both are equally important. I have neglected the confession side of things for some time, even when He has stressed the importance of it. I once said to myself, I cannot leave this any longer and am sharing this with you so you can benefit from this too. The Lord has shown me several times this year that mental assent (information we know) gains nothing…..it is what we are currently practicing that does and will reward us more than we know.

This is an important message for your walk with God if any message was.
